The first official WGDFC tournament took place in 2004. The coveted one-legged trophy (see picture below) goes to the winning studio. The WGDFC tournament trophy is a challenge cup, so the winning team better bring it back to the tournament the following year.

The WGDFC is a doubles tournament. It is played by the united states table soccer association (u.s.t.s.a.) tournament rules. It is a double elimination bracket tournament (everyone stays in the tournament until they lose twice).

ELIGIBLE ARE OFFICIAL 2 PLAYER STUDIO TEAMS ONLY!
Which means that the 2 players have to be from the same graphic design company and should better be the official representatives of respective company. If you win the tournament, you should be prepared to have some proof that both of you are actual designers in that same graphic design company. Entry fee is $30 per team. Tournament limited to 70 teams. Further there is a limit of 2 teams per company. Please include company name, country, company URL, and the full names of the 2 players in your email. Please bring the payment in cash with you to the tournament.
